BES/NØF Symposium: Treelines and Beyond

2 – 4 September 2018

Bergen (Norway) and Perth (Scotland)

Registration and abstract submission are now open for our second Symposium of the year. This is a joint meeting with the Norwegian Ecological Society (Norsk Økologisk Forening), a member of the Nordic Society Oikos. All details can be found on the Symposium webpages.

The core meeting takes place from 2 – 4 September in Bergen, Norway. This part of the meeting is where there will be the main session and where delegates can submit abstract to.

On the final afternoon of the conference, there will be a web-linked panel debate between Bergen and Perth (Scotland), with a comparison of the landscape of South West Norway and upland Scotland with consideration of the land use and policy differences between the two countries. If they are not attending the main conference, delegates can also book onto this satellite section of the meeting (most likely to be local researchers working on those treelines).

Bergen earlybird registration deadline is: 17:00 (BST), Friday 3 August.
Bergen abstract submission deadline is: 17:00 (BST), Friday 27 July.

Perth registration deadline is: 17:00 (BST), Friday 17 August.
