Funding for your forest ecology meetings and activities, deadline 1st October

As you may know, the British Ecological Society funds dozens of scientific meetings and events every year.

In the past year, The Forest Ecology Group funded a workshop on forest fungi in Wytham Woods, Oxfordshire, a meeting on continuous cover forestry in Yorkshire, a symposium on waxcaps in Sheffield, and the upcoming Royal Society meeting “Threats to Tropical Forests” which will be held on 6-7 October.

We hope to support further activities in the coming year, and applications have already begun to come in. We are interested in meetings, symposia, workshops, outreach and training events. For guidance, funding is normally within the range £500 – £5000, and obviously the more cost effective the meeting, the more likely it is to get funded.

If you would like to apply for funding, please fill in the form below before 1st October 2014.
